And then the camera gave up. Too long I had temperatures above 40°C. When I asked later the Canon hotline, I was told that their cameras are only properly working in range form 0°C to 40°C.

 

Keeping the camera in cold conditions above zero might be possible. But in the desert you just can't wrap it in a wet cloth. And a fridge wasn't at hand.

 

So I couldn't take pictures for the last week. I missed some wonderful cloud bursts. And back in Windhoek I couldn't take any pictures any more.
